Marvis Korea

After adopting MarqVision, Marvis Korea automated its repetitive detection and reporting work and began analyzing seller and price data on a single platform. Brand protection is no longer something it scrambles to do whenever a problem appears. It is now an AI-driven system that continuously manages price, sales and trust on the brand's official channels.

The Challenge

Official products disappeared from view, and cheap fakes set the price of the brand

Stock that had once been supplied to large retail channels for special promotions leaked into the online resale market, and countless unauthorized sellers sprang up. In search results, resellers' listings showed up before the official products, and the unauthorized prices became the benchmark in corporate purchasing and promotion negotiations.

Then counterfeits spread, and the problem got harder. Low prices that made no distinction between genuine and fake products dragged on the official selling price on Coupang, and some customers stopped trusting online channels altogether. Questions and complaints about authenticity, expiration dates and quality all landed on Marvis Korea, the official distributor.
At the time, the person in charge spent three to four hours a day filling in takedown forms for each platform and preparing evidence. Gathering purchase records, waybills and powers of attorney, and going back and forth with several agencies, pushed the real work of running promotions and growing the brand to the back of the line.

The Solution

Marq AI from detection to enforcement, and Brand Intelligence from data to action

Marvis Korea didn't just need a tool that found listings. It needed an operating system that would continuously detect unauthorized sellers and counterfeits across marketplaces, track price changes, and turn what it found into actual enforcement.

Marq AI detects problem listings from product images and sales information, and connects them to a workflow where the team reviews relevance and carries out enforcement. When a one-month demo surfaced more than 200 problem listings, Marvis Korea decided to adopt an AI-driven management system instead of hiring more people.

The Marq AI Brand Intelligence Agent took it a step further. The team analyzed the emails, phone numbers and business details of the rogue sellers that remained to find what they had in common, and spotted a recurring pattern of China-based sellers who appeared on weekends and then vanished. They put this into a report and shared it with their contact at Coupang, turning a vague problem into data the platform could review with them.

We used to have to explain that fakes from China kept showing up, or take screenshots ourselves every weekend. Now we can use data to explain and prove which sellers appear, when, and what they have in common.

The Results

From repetitive reporting to a team that manages price and distribution

In the early days, the team carefully reviewed what Marq AI detected and cleaned up the problem listings. As the market settled, to the point where there were hardly any new listings left to handle, the work shifted from repetitive reporting to ongoing monitoring of prices, RRPs and new listings.

Naver search results visibly shifted toward official products, and by comparing daily prices across channels with Brand Intelligence, the team can now check that the company's pricing policy is holding. Customer inquiries haven't disappeared entirely, but Marvis Korea now has the data and the evidence to explain authenticity and distribution issues.

Above all, the team has moved on from repetitive reporting and phone calls, and can spend more time on its real job: designing promotions, pop-ups and the customer experience.

Since we started using MarqVision, our repetitive reporting work has dropped a lot. Now I can focus on what I'm actually supposed to do: planning promotions and coming up with ideas for the brand.
