MarqVision is creating a forum to share IP protection and key localization strategies and know-how with beauty brands looking to enter the US market.

AI company MarqVision (CEO Mark Lee) announced that it will host the seminar “Successful US Expansion Strategies for K-Beauty Brands” in Seoul on December 3 and is now accepting registrations.

Starting with BEYOND22 Seoul in 2022, MarqVision has held in-person seminars in major cities including New York and Atlanta in the US and Paris, France, to help brands succeed in business and build their networks.

This year’s seminar is aimed at K-beauty brands that want to enter the US market. As K-beauty grows more popular in the US, IP protection and consumer trust matter more than ever. To help Korean beauty brands enter the US and expand their business, experts from a range of fields will share know-how and insights on IP protection, winning over consumers and localized marketing strategy.

The seminar takes place at 2 p.m. on December 3 at Dreaum in Gangnam, Seoul. Marketing and customer strategy heads from MarqVision; Amazon, a leading US e-commerce platform; TikTok, a content distribution platform; and Memebox and SKIN1004, brands widely seen as having established themselves in the US, will share the local trends and localization strategies that every brand eyeing the US market needs to know.

First, Hwaeun Shin, customer success team lead at MarqVision, will focus on what brands need when building a strategy to protect themselves and expand steadily in the US market. Shin will share key tips for preventing damage to K-beauty brand images and building strong trust with local customers to lay the groundwork for long-term growth.

Next, Mikyung Jeon, lead of Amazon’s US new seller business team, will present beauty branding cases that win over Amazon shoppers. Yujin Ahn, client partner at TikTok, will explain K-beauty content and ad strategies that were planned in Korea and went viral in the US, and Hyungseok Ha, CEO of Memebox, will share how the Kaja brand succeeded in US retail through its partnership with Sephora. Finally, Minju Kim, brand communication leader at SKIN1004, will give an in-depth, A-to-Z look at how SKIN1004 built its global business.

Registration for the seminar is open on MarqVision’s official website until December 2. MarqVision also plans to offer generous perks exclusively for attendees.

“In a fast-changing global beauty market, brand protection and localization strategy are no longer optional. They are essential,” said MarqVision CEO Mark Lee. “This seminar is designed to help K-beauty brands become more competitive and grow safely in the US market.” He added, “Beyond providing solutions, we will keep organizing seminars and networking programs for industry professionals so that Korean beauty brands hoping to enter the US can grow sustainably there.”
